Full Description: Akbar (AH 963-1014 /1556-1605 AD), Adl-e-Kabul, Silver Shahrukhi, AH 9x5, Counterstamped with “Adl-e-Kabul” on Shaybanid’s Shahrukhis, Obv: Arabic legend the Kalima Shahada within a quarterfoil & four Caliphs' name in the margins, Rev: Arabic legend Counterstamped "Adl-e-Kabul (Justice of Kabul)" & "khuld mulkahu wa sultanahu" at the bottom, 4.60g, 28.76mm, about very fine, Very Rare. Note: Akbar's numismatic practice involved the overstriking of Humayun and Shaybanid Shahrukhi coins with his distinctive counter-stamped mark, "Adl-e-Kabul", signifying the "Justice of Kabul". Notably, these coins represent a rare and infrequently encountered numismatic type. |
